About Lindsay Kaye

ASL (American Sign Language) Learning Coach

I am an experienced teacher of American Sign Language for all ages. I have years of experience teaching the two-year course for high school foreign language credit. I, myself, am a member of the deaf community and I have excellent lip-reading abilities. I have received colloquial implants that have given me some hearing abilities. It is has been a long journey and one that has taught me so much.

I have worked with Lisa Crosby at Custom Learning Academy in Truckee. So returning to work with Lisa is a joy us both because we really respect each other’s work. In addition to being an ASL teacher, I also gave diverse skills to include: Doula and Childbirth Educator, Nanny skills, and preschool teacher. I have been a recreation coordinator and worked as a Medical Records Abstractor and Breast Cancer Researcher.

You can say, I like to challenge myself and utilize my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Human Sexuality and my Master’s Degree in Family and Consumer Science, both from University Northridge, CA in 2002 and 2006 respectively.

Lindsay has an amazing upbeat personality and inspirational personal journey. ASL is a great option for those high school students preferring a kinesthetic foreign language! Just knowing Lindsay is also a huge benefit- she is efficient and incredibly good at teaching this curriculum. Thank you, Lindsay, for joining our team!
